Ladies getting together to quilt would have been the ticket! Your quilt does look fabulous for a 16 year old.Shelina (formerly known as Shasta)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03290945204269323129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18199660.post-23696716540806837602014-02-09T14:03:08.836-07:002014-02-09T14:03:08.836-07:00one of those are on my 'list'one of those are on my 'list'barbara woodshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07824180957906837061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18199660.post-3157463855994441872014-02-09T10:54:41.935-07:002014-02-09T10:54:41.935-07:00It is lovely and looks great for a 16 year old.

I think we were a little "freer" maybe in the the 1980's with our quilting - I loved the prints from then (although very limited compared to what we have today!) and using cotton/poly blends was just fine! My Nana tied a lot of our quilts with thick yarn and some are still being used today! They are soft and cuddly without all the TONS of quilting. Sounds like this quilt is still on your aunt's bed, so obviously she loves it too! Cheers! EvelynEvelyn aka Starfishyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12025353776081066815noreply@blogger.com
