Ta-Da!

Remember yesterday when I told you I picked up my Christmas present? I went over to MagicLady's house and picked it out. This is what greeted me in her kitchen.
Do you know what those are? Those are 5 different Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machines lined up in a row. I got to test drive them all to pick out the one that felt right to me. CarGuy is such a Hunny. I think I'll keep him. Here's my new baby. Birth date was 1938. Isn't she a sweetie?

  1. Whoo-hoo! Congratulations! You're gonna fall in love all over again. My Baby was born in '34 (same as my mom) and they're just like VW bugs; run forever! Straightest stitch in the known universe. Enjoy!

  4. What a great guy your husband is! How fun to have your pick of *five* of them. The one you picked looks great. I like the ones with the flowery face plate, which the newer ones didn't have. 1938 is what I learned to sew on.

Congratulations on your new acquisition. Featherweights are the best! I have a 1934 that I adore, as well as a white/green one.
