My Book Report

Back in October 2006 I read on someone's blog (was it JenClair's book blog? nope, just checked) about this book. I do remember it was for the R.I.P Challenge. I just surfed a couple of the blogs I read daily and could not find the reference to this book. Whatever. Thank you to whoever recommended it!

The Woman in Black: a Ghost Story by Susan Hill. This is a great ghost story! And rather than take up bandwidth writing a mediocre report, just go to Amazon.com and read the reviews. This little book of 138 pages is riveting and a quick read.

  1. I ordered TWIB with some other bonus books in the R.I.P. Challenge, but that order was held up by Christopher Morley's The Haunted Bookshop and didn't arrive until November. It was very popular among the book blogs, but I didn't like it as much as everyone else. Now, The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins is a heck of a Victorian mystery! :)

  2. This is definitely on my list of TBR books from the R.I.P. Challenge. I am even more motivated now that I know its such a short book.

  3. Paula, it might have been me! I have read that book and i was in the R.I.P Challenge but I can't remember if that was one of my books or not. It's really, really scary. There is a movie, too that will scare the pants off you!

  4. I saw the recommendation too, sorry don't remember who it was, but it is waiting at the library for me to pick up. Apparently many people love this book.
