All in the family

(Click for a bigger photo)

I've had company: my big brother and my niece. It has been lovely to have them visit. The only drawback is my niece slept on an air mattress on the floor of my sewing room.

I couldn't sew. I even hesitated to enter the room.

5 days of company = 11 knitted dishcloths and 3 crocheted potholders

  1. Wow, you are productive when you have company. The washcloths are beautiful, I love the colors. They are my favorite ones to use!

  2. Well you did get something done but I know what you mean about company...they're a great joy but sewing is in the back of your mind....lol

  3. Wow, you certainly knit those dish cloths a lot faster than I do. Of course, they are the only thing that I know how to knit, so I am not as proficient as you.

  4. LOL - I don't knit...but I suspect I'll take it up when we have visitors to stay now that my sewing machine and the sofa bed are in the same room!

  5. When that happens to me, and you gotta love and appreciate family!...all I can THINK about is wanting to sew or use the computer! You are so lucky to be so mutli-talented and be able to substitute these vibrantly gorgeous dish cloths! How can you bear to use them? Talk about too pretty to use!

  6. They talk about heating degree days in the winter, I guess you can measure company time by knitted washcloths!

  8. Very funny! Great use of your imposed quiet time so your company could sleep! You just might be happy about that when you need a quick present!!! I hope you had a good visit.

    Cheers!

  9. Love the colors you used for the washcloths! I have a huge pile made but go through them fast. Friends & family now expect them along with gifts I give them. Knitting these is SO peaceful...when I'm not quilting, I'm knitting! By now, you're probably more than ready to sew, I'm sure!
