Do you remember the song the children sing in The Sound of Music called So Long, Farewell? This precious little quilt is the visual version of one line in that song.
Marit, Quilt-it, made this little quilt for me as my summer partner in the Four Season Quilt Swap. I just love this perky, bright little quilt. My photo does this quilt a dis-service as the quilt really has square corners and is not misshapen like the photo shows it.
Thank you Marit! I love it!
p.s. I purposely mangled the lyrics for my title.
Boy I love your swap quilt. How very lucky are you to receive it!!
ReplyDeleteNice! I've never seen butterflies laid out that way on a top, but it's cute. Like your title. :)
ReplyDeleteAWhat a cool quilt. I remember seeing this on the blog of the maker. You are a lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteWonderful creation!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Why am I afraid to buy those kinds of fabrics? I always enjoy the quilts made with them.
ReplyDeleteAlso love the song . . . we sing it often *s*
very nice. Tell Libby that her fear to buy those fabrics is akin to my fear of buying her type - even though I love the quilts that she makes!
ReplyDeleteI like it too!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt and I love the Sound of Music. What a great presentation of the song. You are a lucky girl!
