Homespun BOM: Nine-patch

This is such a simple block but what would a sampler quilt be without a nine patch? Once again, the block is from Marcia Hohn's Quilter's Cache.

The nine patch is one of my favorite blocks. It's easy to make and so versatile.

you got it. the nine patch is the ultimate classic. and so many other blocks are just basically a nine patch with special squares. it's the mother of all quilt blocks. all hail the nine patch!!! ;-)

Ah . . . the humble 9 patch, simple but works well in so many situations *s*

It is amazing how many quilts have a nine patch tucked into the design. I love the homespuns that you have been using.

I never grow tired of the simplest most basic blocks... love it; and it's baby, too!

gotta love a nine patch. I think this is reminds me of the prairies and wildflowers and covered wagons.
