The Quilter: Homespun BOM: Nine-patch

This is such a simple block but what would a sampler quilt be without a nine patch? Once again, the block is from Marcia Hohn's Quilter's Cache.

Joyce, 06:50: The nine patch is one of my favorite blocks. It's easy to make and so versatile.
Greenmare, 07:52: you got it. the nine patch is the ultimate classic. and so many other blocks are just basically a nine patch with special squares. it's the mother of all quilt blocks. all hail the nine patch!!! ;-)
