I need a recipe

I am going to a pot luck on Friday and I need a new recipe. The ladies are all dieting and I don't have a clue what to take. Other than a green salad or a bowl of fruit I can't come up with anything to take. Help?

  1. This is one of my favorite Weight Watcher's recipes:
Mix 1 chocolate cake mix with 1 can pumpkin.(using mixer) If you want you can add 1/2 cup egg substitute but it's not necessary. Bake according to cake directions in 9 x 13 pan.

To "frost" it stir one small sugar free chocolate pudding cup with a small fat free cool whip and spread on top. Refrigerate till cut in squares to serve.

Honestly it tastes great and I've served it to my quilt group and they didn't know it was WW until I told them! blessings, marlene

  2. Head on over to The Sisters Cafe via my blog. They posted a beef vegetable soup recipe recently which I made. It's very good, hearty, filling, and low-cal. The ingredients fill a regular / large size crockpot perfectly. Enjoy.

  3. I was going to suggest soup, too, but StitchinByTheLake's cake sounds divine. I'm going to try that one.

  4. I made this cake -- http://pointlessmeals.blogspot.com/2010/10/apple-cake-with-cream-cheese-frosting.html -- recently. It was spectacular! It says that 1/16 of the cake (which is a generous portion) is 6 WW points. The men at my event had the full 6 point portion. The women cut it in half and had a scrumptious dessert -- seasonal, too, with the apples -- for a mere 3 WW points. It was easy to make and made the house smell GREAT!

  5. Sounds fun and I'd definitely vote for Nancy's idea. Just me. Oh...and if you need a soux chef, let me know - I'll be there. *karendianne. who is too lazy to see if she spelled 'soux' correctly.

  6. I think I would make Southwestern Rice Salad. You can use this recipe as your basis, and just change based on available ingredients / your taste.

  7. As a vegetarian and a dieter, roasted asparagus is always much appreciated. Looks spectacular, good at room temperature and screams diet food.

  11. Am I too late? I like soup - just about any with a clear broth would be suitable . . . . and so tasty, too *S*

  12. Enjoy! Now is the time of year for all the potlucks. Everyone always requests that I bring my deviled eggs. (I put Cajun seasoning in the mix for a different taste.)

  13. Hmm--I like white chicken chili. Not much fat, protein, veggies, and fiber from the beans. I brought it for a mexican potluck--and everyone liked it as it was different with no tomatoes.

  14. I've missed the date too, but I have to say - I usually bring deviled eggs. BUT - my niece-in-law made the very best baked beans this week in her crock pot and I have to get that recipe!! Perfect for vegetarians too. It is going to be my new favorite "winter" potluck recipe - I will send it to you once I get it! Cheers! Evelyn
