The 2012 calendar cover is made, finally. I carry a calendar every week day because of work and I decided many years ago that it did not have to look utilitarian. This one is the Quilt Art 2012 calendar published by American Quilting Society. Small projects like this are a wonderful place to use up cheap fabric. Want to make one for yourself? Search for notepad/portfolio/journal cover tutorials.
It's beautiful - love all of those colorful butterflies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this pattern source. I won't use paint sticks, but some fun, vibrant fabric will work marvelously. (I may even have some of that butterfly fabric left). Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good looking cover. I'll check out the tutorials after the holidays.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Very nice! Congrats for keeping your life old school. I have given up my 'paper brain' in favor of the smart phone . . . time will tell if that was smart or not *s*
ReplyDeleteGosh, Paula, I just finished about 8 of a similar journal cover! Yours is stunning! Fun -- that fabric would have been perfect for my recent similar projects as well! 8-))
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
It looks beautiful - the butterflies are sure to make you happy all year round. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect. I am a write it down on those calendar pages kinda gal and would be lost without it. A smart phone might be pretty handy one day soon. The cover you made is very pretty! :-)
