Is this a UFO?

Would you consider this a UFO? The quilt is designed and in the manilla folder and all the fabrics have been pulled. It has been dormant in a bin for over a year.

  1. For me, "no." This is still stash, because you haven't cut into it. (At this point, you could still switch out your fabrics…)

  2. no...it's still in the planning stage when nothing has been stitched...

  3. Of course not - like Kelly said it is just in the planning stage. You can change your mind and add the fabric back into the stash and it will all be usable for another project. It is nice to have everything together though so if you have a notion to start it you don't have to do the work of coordinating the fabrics from your stash and can just start working.

  4. This is a tough one. Technically, I agree with the other comments. But the likelihood of my being able to repurpose any of the elements is so slim . . . .

  5. Perhaps is qualifies as a PASS Project At a Stand Still or just passed over for something more interesting!

  6. I'd call it a Christmas present!

  7. ...if the fabric is still stash-able, then you've not started the project yet... so it can't be "unfinished"... more like "unstarted"...

  9. I generally say no, it is not a UFO. But I just took out a kit from the shelf the other day, and decided that it is a UFO, so that I won't break my rule of new quilt has to alternate with UFO. After all, my family won't be able to do any more with it than they would something I have started.
