August - The Scalloped Rose Wreath
Are you ready for another block? This one is the August block. It looks deceptively simple doesn't it? But look at those roses! I am now prepping September's block. It sure would be nice to get it done before the October block is ready to download.

So I mentioned that I've been doing a bit of handwork. This is the May block in the Hugs and Kisses BOM from The Quilt Show.

Here is another block in the Hugs & Kisses BOM. I am so behind -- I have two more blocks to prep and it is almost July so there will be another. I guess it keeps me out of trouble.

Applique the Hugs and Kisses Way
I fell in love with the applique block of the month that is offered on The Quilt Show.
I also fell in love with Alex Anderson's new fabric line, Whisperings. So when I saw the BOM was offered as a kit using this fabric I bought it.
I'm a bit behind in the blocks but I do have the January and February blocks done. The March block is prepped and ready to stitch and I'm prepping the April block. I love hand applique and try to indulge when I can. After all, it is low calorie and fat free. Stay tuned for more blocks.
