Here is another finish of the Project Linus blankets.
This one is a larger blanket that will suitable for a boy-child, don't you think? This ripple pattern is my go-to crochet afghan pattern. If I can't figure out what to make, I make one of these.
Here's is what is on the needles today. It is another Project Linus blanket. I had two skeins of this off-white so I just expanded a dishcloth pattern. This blanket will be 32" square and is a good size for swaddling a baby.
What's on your needles? I'm linking to Judy L at Patchwork Times.

Alphabet Afghan
This crocheted Alphabet Afghan used lots and lots of yarn! But isn't it sweet? It measures about 50x50" and weighs about 3.5 pounds. No joke. Do you think it would be a good candidate for Project Linus?

Still crocheting blankets
This is what I am crocheting this week. I love this pattern for an alphabet blanket. But then I love words and letters on any quilt or blanket. This is going to be quite large for a crocheted afghan maybe about 50" square I think.

Off the Needles - August 8, 2014
Two items have recently come off the needles. Well, one, really. It is another Sunny Blanket made for the coming grandbebé. The yarn is Comfy Sport from KnitPicks.com and is a cotton/acrylic combo. It is oh, so soft.
Do you remember My Sister's Sweater? It's done! done! done! It has been off the needles for a while and even blocked. But it languished for the want of buttons and button holes. I finally dug through the button basket and found three that were absolutely perfect! The pattern is Hand-to-Hand by Elizabeth Zimmerman and is all garter stitch except for the cable that goes from hand to hand.
