2006 Summary

Here is a picture of some of the items I've completed this year. I feel like I've forgotten something, though. I actually have done a lot of knitting and crocheting this year.

I tweaked my left wrist and thumb the other night helping CarGuy unload the snowblower and now I'm wearing a thumb and wrist thing to keep remind me not to use it. Sure make's typing difficult and knitting is out of the question. It's a good thing I've been reading a very entertaining book lately.

I went an picked up my Christmas present today. I hope to be able to show you a picture of it tomorrow. That's all I'm going to tell you. I'm such a tease!

When I got home, I spent the rest of the day in the studio. I have been working on the block kits I got from Dale Anne. If I counted right, there are 13 kits. 2 and 2 and 3 and 6. I am going to donate this when it gets to the flimsy stage. It will make a good charity quilt and our local guild needs some twin size quilts this year. And there are long arm quilters that do the quilting for the community quilts.

  1. You've gotten a lot done this year. Sorry about your thumb, I know that can hurt, and it certainly slows one down! I'll have to come back to see what your present was!

  2. Is that a Minnesota Hot Dish quilt I see in the upper right corner? I bought the pattern book for that because coming from Minnesota I actually know what a hot dish it!

You've done a lot of great work this past year. Hope you thumb is better soon.

  3. Oh man - a bum-thumb can wreck your day - I hope it gets better quick! I've been following your sno-woes; I can't even imagine. But you make snuggling in sound so nice..... (except for the snow shoveling part!)

  4. What a good idea to have a display of a year's accomplishments! And they are so beautiful, too! Happy New Year . . . .

  5. Great way to showcase your year's efforts - I know for sure you forgot the snowflake quilt you just showed in December! I hope your thumb feels better soon - keep that brace on and don't overdue it too soon.

    Cheers!
