New Banner

Thanks to Brenda Smith at Serendipity and the Art of the Quilt for the inspiration and impetus to create a new banner. I took this little quiltlet (10x10) and scanned it in. In Photoshop I then cropped it in a pleasing area and used it to fill my text. I actually like the full quilt. It has a nice flow to it. So here is the full, uncropped image.

If I had been purposeful instead of playing on a new Bernina Artista in a class, the quilting would have echoed the spiral. Oh well. It works fine for my banner. But don't get too used to this banner. It will stay for a while until I can get around to making the permanent one.

Ok, next on the to-do list is to get a decent photo for my profile.

  1. Very nice -- I like the way it shows up in the banner. You would never know it is the same quilt.
