Quilt size & trains

I could make a quilt so big it could cover a space shuttle and still not have any to cover myself. It got cold last night, brrrr. *sigh*

On my way to work this morning, I was delayed by a train. This thing just sat there, not moving. There were disgruntled people standing outside their vehicles, horns were honking, and just general grumpiness. But, like a Girl Scout, I was prepared. I pulled out my knitting and had 20 minutes of uninterrupted knitting time.

  1. Good for you for having something to do while everybody else was complaining about the wait. Very productive.

We're having a heat wave here. I'll try to blow some of it your way.

  2. You clever gal you! Making excellent use of your time, and totally uninterrupted! Yes, that's why my car is full of books, lists, etc. -- you never know when you have a few minutes to yourself. 8-)

  3. What a great use of your time. This is also why I usually carry a paperback or other book with me wherever I go!

  4. You never know when you will have a few moments to work on a project . . . you are smart to make sure you have a take-along *s*

  5. Did you get snow? A friend of mine has a son and family in Colorado, and I know they got snow sometime in the last day or two! Lovely weather for late May, right?!

  6. Always be prepared! I usually have a magazine or two in the car with me "just in case".

Love your postcards - you are so talented.

  7. Twenty minutes? It must have been a really long train!

  8. Good for you! If everyone was as prepared, we'd all be happy to wait. I went to the doctor earlier this week and brought my knitting. I only had to wait about 5 minutes and was disappointed! :)

Hey Sis What are you doing knitting at a train stop when you could be getting all kinds of information off those cars.

  11. Too funny! My SIL always called me a girl scout because no matter what the kids ever needed, no matter where we were, I had with me.

  12. Isn't it great when planning pays off? I have a little bag of applique in my car, but in 6 months I've never gotten the opportunity to use it!
BTW - your postcards are beautiful!

  13. Good 4 you. I take my knitting everywhere with me too as I have to wait for and sit on ferries. It's amazing how much you can get done.

  14. Good girl! Only we crafters would understand! I always joke to the gals that take my crocheting class...that they should carry their crochet bag everywhere and anywhere. Who's to say where our roads will take us?!
