Fabric Stashing & an Auction

I just got this in an email. All I can say is O.M.G.!

Hi. I just got a call from Don, friend of ours and He told me that the Christian Children's home had been given a HUGE amount of quilting fabric, over 15,000 yards from a lady who was moving and her husband wouldn't let her move it and then someone else sent more on a flatbed truck, sounds like the lady had a buying problem, but anyway they are having an Auction, at 9:00 Saturday September 8th beginning at 9:00 The fabric will be sold at $1:00 a yard. The home is on the East side of Hwy 287 about 3 miles this side of xxx or North of xxx. Several houses and the name is I think on the fence or some where that you can see. Sounds like a field trip to me. Please get this out as much as you can as all the moneys will go to the homes. Go sew.

If you want more info or the specifics, email me.

  5. Oh man, wish I lived there! I would love some cheap brights to make more blankets for the Blanket Brigade. Oh well, you'll have to have fun without us, I guess!

  8. This is just a test. I've had some comments emailed directly to me saying that they couldn't leave a comment.

Hmm, I guess Colorado is too far even for such a great sale. Too bad.

  11. Oh dear, I think you'd better start building a shed right now for the stuff you will be acquiring! I want to go!
Just be careful or you will be the one similarly donating your stash down the road.

Please include us in the field trip via camera! If you're an eBayer it looks like an opportunity to make a little extra cash.

Paula didn't exactly say that she was going to attend the fabric auction, she was just sharing the announcement.

I am going to spoil the suspense and tattle. She didn't attend the auction, she prepped for...

Well she can tell you what she did, but I can vouch for her whereabouts 'cause I was with her in her sewing studio.
