So here is the October installment of the BOM. You know, I never said I was good at math and this just proves it. I made the small block to a finished size of 5.5" *sigh*. Guess I'll add a frame around it to bring it up to size. Photo quality is poor as I was shooting in the basement. I did, however, turn on the
Ott Light but had to shoot at an angle so I didn't block what little light was there.
*argh* MATH! It looks doggoned cute though *s*
ReplyDeleteI LOVE them! This is going to be such an awesome quilt!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

Love those homespun blocks, regardless of the sizes! The setting layout is a good choice and I've done the logcabin in 2" finished strips.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen that block beore. I love it. That math thing gets me a lot too - and the quarter inch seam. You could add a checkerboard all around.
ReplyDeleteor maybe flying geese in the centers to duplicate the square.
ReplyDeleteDoes working with the checks bother you? I still have trouble letting them be wonky although the quilting experts on TV say not to try to keep the rows straight. Yours are very straight. Do you have a secret? It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI really love this block. I need to make this block!! And now I need to catch up on the prior blocks!! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI was born in Colorado, Western slope...where are you??
ReplyDeleteI think your math is very good. Today I tagged you in my blog ;)
ReplyDeleteThis BOM quilts will look great especially with the home spun.
ReplyDeleteYour post on helping with the climate was very interesting. It is good to hear that we are not alone taking care. I recognize a lot of things I do as well: solar power plant on the roof, no plastic bags, no stand-by with TV,computers, minimal use of the car, ... Funny how people from different countries try to make a difference. I wish you luck and take care.
pretty blocks! I like that quilting is forgiving in that we can always add a border becuase I to am math challenged!
