What's on my bed
Nicole over at Sister's Choice Quilts posed the question about "What's on your bed?" I thought I'd play along.
I've got Autumn Leaves on the bed right now. Remember this quilt? It's made using Bonnie's String X pattern. I've made 5 or 6 using this pattern and have always given them to charity. This is the one I kept. It is 120x120". Huge! But has a wonderful drop on the sides.
Here's a detail shot.
See that wall behind the bed? In the middle of winter, at the coldest, I usually hang a quilt on that outside wall. It does seem to help on the coldness in the room.

oh my gosh - 120 x 120? Did you quilt that yourself? I love the large print in the setting squares - perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like that quilt. It is huge, but beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the way these make up! Bonnie has the BEST patterns, and this one is one of my very faves. Your customization is inspired.

wonderful quilt. Great color choices. Oh dear, I don't have a quilt on my bed. Guess I better do something about that.
ReplyDelete120 x 120 - huge, for sure - but no dust ruffle or shams required . . . I like it *s*
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt ..... and I really do mean GREAT! Seriously, love the pattern and the leaves in the alternate squares.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt.

What a beautiful--and really, really big quilt!! And I, too, am working on the Crab Apple Hill pumpkin but have gone on to other pursuits as of now. I'll get back to it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful quilt - a wonderful reaason to have it on the bed. The appliqued leaves add a nice touch. :)
