Well, I finished up the pincushion. Isn't he cute? It's a bit fiddly to make but the results are great. The pattern is from Gooseberry Hill and is called the Sewing Bird. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to see it. I have had this pattern for a long time, years in fact. I made one of these for Auntie when I first purchased the pattern. This is my second one.
This is just a wee bit of stashbusting. The fabrics are from stash, the tape measure is from stash and the notions I'm tucking under his wings are all from stash. I even used some glass-headed pins from my everyday pins for his eyes and beak. I did not buy a thing: I already had it.
I think my birdie is fatter.
That's really cute! I'm not sure I would poke pins into him though! HEHE.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely Bird!

ReplyDeleteHow absolutely adorable. Is the birdie for you or sewing friend?
ReplyDeleteOh it is so sweet!
ReplyDeletePaula, you are amazing. That you can even find time to make such sweet things while driving back and forth, caretaking and fending off both traffic and our comments is remarkable. Continuing to send caring thoughts for your auntie and your whole family!
ReplyDeleteHad a cardinal at the feeder today. Looks like they are established in our area again. Your red bird reminded me of the them. You make fun things. :)
