The last of the Quilts of Valor has been quilted. A veritable quilting marathon has been happening at Casa del Quilter.
This quilt was held for last because it needed quilting that was NOT allover. Each block was quilted individually with a flower whose petal's resembled hearts, the first sashing was quilted with 'E' and the white sashings were quilted in a wave. I am pleased with the result even if it took twice as long as the other two QOV.
All three QOV quilts were quilted on my domestic sewing machine.
Bound and labeled. Check and check.
Presentation case made and quilt washed. Check and check.
All three quilts are wonderful. Thanks for the good ideas.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great, Paula. You've inspired me to use up a bunch of R,W,&B fabric scraps and star & flag prints. I'm using a large simple block to sew up a top quickly.
