Receiving Blankets

A family member is preggers and I found yards and yards of white flannel in the Great Fabric Sort and Organization. There was 6 or 7 yards total. I pulled out the serger and using wooly nylon and a narrow hem, I whipped out these 6 receiving blankets. What a great stash buster!

  3. I used a lot of flannel blankets for my babies...collected several while "preggers" and preparing my nest, lol. There's something very satisfying about a nice clean stack of flannel waiting to snuggle a little one. A nice and thoughtful gift. :-D

  4. Another great cycle and recycle! Sounds like the price was right all the way around> High Fives for cleverness this week!! Hugs, Finn
P.S. if you've got smaller flannel pieces to use, don't forget how great flannel burp cloths are

  6. My receiving blankets were all serged quilt shop flannels - Jacob still uses them during nap time at day care.
