You might recall seeing the half-square triangles for this quilt in a previous post. I started this flimsy/top at my guild's quilt retreat at the end of March and had a major problem. Once I got home, I trimmed down ALL the pieces to a consistent size and it worked ever so much better.
As I was trimming, it dawned on me that there were enough HSTs to make another quilt! The blocks are made and stacked beside the sewing machine just waiting for me to have the time to start.
I snagged this quilt pattern, American Glory , from Moda Bake Shop. It was designed by Stephanie Roman of Little Lady Patchwork.

What a cool quilt... patriotic and snazzy at the same time! I like that red bandana print...
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt Paula. Love the design. I looks easy to make. I might try that one sometime. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this I wasn't too attracted to it - but the more I look at it the more I like it.
ReplyDeleteCrisp and clean. Very nice.

Very nice - great choice of fabric.
ReplyDeleteThis is darling, Paula! It's so nice to have some original QOV ideas...and I just love this one!
ReplyDeleteThat is so simple -- so clever. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat RWB quilt and fabrics! I've been collecting patterns for potential QOV quilts and will add this one to the list.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing your American Glory quilt I immediately clicked on your link to the pattern at Moda Bake Shop and have downloaded it! It's simple and beautiful!
