Design Wall Monday - July 30, 2012

I am still working on the applique for the Baltimore Christmas quilt. Once I have all the pieces for a block prepped, then I start to glue (dot, dot, not a lot) and then stitch them down. To make sure that I have good adhesion, I lay a piece of glass on top of the pieces as they dry. I should own stock in the blue painter's tape company; I use a lot of it. I'll have 4 blocks completed after this one.

Here is the actual design wall. Let's go clockwise and start in the upper left. I have two AAQI quilts going. The one on the left is called "Meadow Dancer" and I'm not sure what to name the one on the right. These are part of an old deco fabric panel that I am embroidering and embellishing.

I have the pieces cut out and hanging with the elastic to make a sleep mask.

The paperwork for an entry to a quilt show always get pinned to the design wall. I know where to find it!

There is the binding waiting for the QOV that is at the long arm quilter.

And, lastly, there is the block I am designing to replace one in the Baltimore Christmas.
