Made in America
I busted my yarn swift. Honestly, with our dry climate, if wood is not conditioned it will dry out. That is what happened to my swift: the wood on the carved wooden nut that holds the umbrella-like section open just split in half. Boo hoo. :(
I asked if it could be repaired and then waited patiently for about a week but nothing around Casa del Quilter seems to be done in a timely manner unless The Quilter does it herself. After a bit of research, I found a new swift at The Oregon Woodworker. Yes, made in the U.S.A. It is a different style than the old one but I like it much better. It can accommodate larger skeins of yarn and is quieter.
Oh, and the old swift? Still not repaired.
