OTN - December 7, 2012

Today, OTN means both Off the Needles and On the Needles. All the hats for Hurricane Sandy victims have been finished and boxed up and mailed. How many you ask? 21 hats in varying sizes and two pair of slippers. After making two pair of slippers, I decided that hats were faster for me to complete.

And because I felt jittery without something on the needles, I cast on again. I have gotten several requests for boobie hats, not only for babies but for adults too. I agree that it would make a great gag gift for an adult. You can google for images if you want to see what they look like. Since these have a rolled brim, they are lickety split to make.

So to see other knitted goodness follow this link.

  5. Oh Paula--the boobie hats are wonderful!! If I could knit I would make some for my white elephant Christmas gifts! I have relatives with wacky senses of humor--and they would wear them. what can I say--when my dad was in his late 80's his present had a set of fake boobs. they hung on the rear view mirror in his car for quite some time. Gently swaying as he drove around our little town, back and forth to the school picking up the g-grand's and doing taxi service.
