Stupid, stupid, stupid

I picked up a hot casserole dish and got second degree burns. Owowowowow.

I can't do anything but poke buttons. So far I have 'visited' amazon, spoonflower and connecting threads. Somebody stop me! LOL.

  1. Oh Paula! That must be really painful. Lord knows that's something any one of us could have done. I remember when I got my first apartment, back in the late 60's, I had an electric stove. I'd grown up with a gas stove, so I just never thought about those coils remaining hot long after I turned the stove off. Well, I needed to get something out of the cabinet that was located over the stove, and had to really really stretch to get it. Without thinking, I put my hand down, palm outstretched, to balance myself. on top of a burner. I had those burner rings embossed into my palm for weeks. The pain was bad, not being able to use that hand was a real inconvenience, but the worst was having to explain how I did it.

Hopefully your fingers will heal quickly and you can move beyond button pushing. I am wincing in sympathetic pain just thinking about it.

  2. Goodness gracious Paula, I hope you heal very quickly and can get back to knitting very soon. Meanwhile, try the youtube videos on making fun stuff. And Pinterest of course. Lots of neat ideas for when you're back to 100%.
