The Blue Quilt
I have had such a hard time getting a good photo of this quilt. I thought that I had such a good idea when I handed my camera to someone at the guild's show and tell the other night. Yeah, right? She didn't put my camera all the way to 'Auto' and accidentally shot a short, short video of me telling about the quilt.
The Blue Quilt, as I call it, is very large: 102"x102" (I had a brain fart when I typed in on Google Video). It started out with 9" blue and white 9-patches that were a hostess gift from the small quilt group to which I used to belong. And then it just grew and grew. The star blocks are 18"! This was a great stashbuster quilt and used up a lot of blues from my stash. But considering blue is my favorite color (can you guess the color of the shirt in the video?) I still have a lot of blue fabric.
I am going to continue trying to get a better photo.

ReplyDeleteHow nice to catch a bit of you telling about your beautiful quilt. It is HUGE compared to most of the little quilts that I do. I hope you will continue to try for a better picture, too. I'd love to see it closer. Did you hand or machine quilt this?
