Only half of my sewing room has electrical power. The electrician is on his way. Thank goodness for friends in the construction business. I'll keep you updated.
Update: how can a wire just suddenly break? No clue, but a wire between one outlet and another broke, ergo no power to the remaining 3 on the same circuit. Sparky said he sees it all the time. I am now running on full power. Yipee! More sewing ahead!
Eeeek! hope things go well with the electrictian and that it is something easy and inexpensive to fix!
ReplyDeleteI'd of called 9-1-1-!!!!I'm glad you called the 'pros'. They'll fix it...You'll be back to sewing in mo time.
ReplyDeleteHow does that happen? (We had - hopefully they are over - electrical problems in our building - we would go "brown" it was very odd... The TV in the bedroom would work, but not the cable & vice versa in the living room!)
ReplyDeleteUh oh....hope it is cheap and easy!
ReplyDeleteThat does seem strange that a wire would just spontaneously break. Did Sparky say why that happens? Is Sparky the electrician? Now - I wonder if he got the name Sparky before or after becoming an electrician :))
ReplyDeleteI had the same question as Pam, an electrician named Sparky? I have no idea how something like that could just suddenly happen, it's not like there's moving parts that could break a wire in the wall... but that's scary! I had NO POWER yesterday, any outlets... but it's more understandable; a tree fell due to high winds and took the wires down with it. All is good today, glad you're operating at full power now, too!
ReplyDeleteHUH? That's a little scary, that something inanimate can make a move without some human help. Did Sparky have any explanation? Glad you're back in business!
ReplyDeleteNothing like being back in business. Drat those electrical interruptions anyway! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my...I hope you get Sparky to fix it soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that "Sparky" donned his cape and came to your rescue! Everything is better in the Land of Quilting. Whew! :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad it was such a simple thing to fix!
